A Race Review Admin Board member will contact the rookie when the required number of races has been completed.

Drivers SHOULD NOT contact KCE Racing Administration to request a two-digit number.

The President or Vice President MAY require additional races if further driver evaluation is necessary.

Drivers MUST NOT discuss, argue about, or debate incidents during the race.

A brief apology is permitted. Any further discussion MUST wait until after the race.

2.5 Communication Under Caution

This assists drivers who may be in the pits making repairs.

Sponsors already claimed by an existing two-digit driver may NOT be duplicated.

3.2 Paint Schemes

There are no Fast repairs.
5

General Race Conduct

5.1 Clean Racing

Drivers MUST race cleanly, responsibly, and under control.

Over-aggressive driving may include:

  • Dive-bombing corners
  • Excessive bumper contact
  • Excessive side contact
  • Reckless three-wide racing
  • Unsafe bump drafting
  • Forcing another driver out of their racing line
  • Driving beyond the reasonable limits of the car or situation

Over-aggressive driving MAY result in a penalty.

5.2 Intentional Wrecking

Intentional wrecking WILL result in immediate removal from the league.

5.3 Intentional Cautions

Intentionally causing a caution WILL result in a severe penalty and MAY result in removal from the league.

5.4 Wall Riding

Wall riding is NOT permitted.

5.5 Accident Avoidance

Drivers MUST make a reasonable effort to avoid accidents occurring ahead of them.

Driving through an accident without attempting to slow down or avoid the incident MAY result in a penalty.

5.6 Holding the Brake

After spinning or being involved in an accident, drivers MUST hold their brakes until it is safe to move.

5.7 Rejoining the Racing Line

Drivers MUST NOT re-enter the racing line after spinning, wrecking, or exiting pit road in a manner that impedes approaching traffic.

5.8 Racing Others

Race other drivers the way you expect them to race you.

Respect, patience, and good race craft are expected from every KCE driver.

5.9 Team Coordination

Team coordination that intentionally hinders, blocks, manipulates, or unfairly impacts another driver’s race is NOT permitted.

6

Starts, Restarts & Cautions

6.1 Starting Gear

Drivers MUST start every race start and restart in 2nd gear.

6.2 Green Flag

Drivers MUST accelerate when:

  • The green flag is displayed, OR
  • The leader accelerates on a restart.

6.3 Restart Lane Changes

Drivers MUST NOT change lanes before crossing the start/finish line on a restart.

6.4 Jumping Restarts

Jumping a restart is NOT permitted.

Brake-checking or manipulating the restart in a manner that causes unnecessary checkups behind you MAY result in a penalty.

6.5 Pacing

While pacing, drivers MUST close the gap to the car ahead.

Beginning with one lap to green, drivers should maintain a tight and consistent gap rather than repeatedly accelerating and slowing.

Drivers SHOULD use light brake pressure while maintaining throttle when necessary to maintain a consistent pace.

Do NOT wait until the final moment to close the gap.

6.6 Caution Speed

When a caution is displayed, drivers MAY lift off the accelerator but MUST maintain sufficient speed to catch the pace car and field.

The leader and lead pack should initially slow to approximately twice pace-car speed until reaching the pace car, allowing the remainder of the field to catch up.

6.7 iRacing Position Instructions

Drivers MUST follow the positioning instructions provided by iRacing before:

  • Entering pit road
  • Taking the green flag
  • Rejoining the pacing order

Drivers are responsible for monitoring the iRacing informational black box and correctly sorting themselves into position.

6.8 Damaged Cars

A car that is too damaged to maintain pace or catch the field MUST stop safely and request a tow immediately.

Drivers MUST NOT remain on track at an unsafe speed if doing so prevents other drivers from catching the field, entering pit road, or correctly sorting their position.

Failure to maintain pace or catch the field MAY result in an EOL/GFPT penalty at the driver’s next race.

7

Pit Road Procedures

7.1 Pit Communication

Drivers SHOULD announce both pit entry and pit exit using their car number.

#24 pitting in. #24 exiting pits.

Pit-in and pit-out communication are treated the same.

Pit communication is strongly recommended but is not mandatory by itself. However, drivers are responsible for safely entering and exiting pit road.

A driver who fails to announce a pit entry or pit exit and causes or contributes to an incident MAY be penalized.

When a driver properly announces their pit entry or pit exit, other drivers are responsible for allowing that driver reasonable opportunity to safely enter or exit pit road.

A driver who causes an incident with a car that properly announced its pit entry or pit exit MAY be penalized.

7.2 Pit Entry Call

Drivers announcing pit entry SHOULD make the call coming off Turn 2 whenever the track configuration allows.

The call should be made early enough to give following drivers reasonable time to react.

Pit-exit calls SHOULD be made before entering or merging toward the racing line so approaching drivers have reasonable time to react.

7.3 Pit Entry

Drivers MUST enter pit road from the low line.

A driver entering pit road from lane 2 or lane 3 and causing an accident MAY be penalized.

7.4 Pit Lane Position

Drivers MUST travel on the far-right side of pit lane except when entering or exiting their assigned pit stall.

7.5 Entering & Exiting the Pit Stall

Drivers should begin moving toward or away from their pit stall within approximately 3–4 pit stalls.

Drivers MUST NOT unnecessarily cross large portions of pit lane.

7.6 Pit Exit

Drivers exiting pit road MUST remain on the low line until it is safe to merge onto the racing line.

Drivers rejoining the track MUST yield to faster approaching cars.

8

Post-Race Procedure

After completing the race, drivers MUST drive their car back to pit road and park in their assigned pit stall.

Drivers MUST NOT stop on the racing surface and immediately exit the simulator.

Leaving the car on the racing surface after the race MAY result in a penalty.
9

9.1 75% Race Completion Requirement

75% Requirement

A driver MUST complete at least 75% of the scheduled race distance to receive ANY race bonus points.

Bonus points may be earned during the race, but they are not awarded unless the driver ultimately completes at least 75% of the race.

If three or more penalties must be served at the beginning of a race, Race Control MAY extend the opening caution by one or more laps to allow penalties to be administered safely.
