A New Chapter for KCE Racing
A major update to how KCE manages competition, championships, drivers, schedules, new members, career history, and race winners.
Over the past several months, a tremendous amount of work has been happening behind the scenes at KCE Racing.
Much of it hasn’t been visible because I wanted these systems working together before introducing them. We’re now at the point where I can finally start showing everyone what we’ve been building.
This is much more than a website refresh.
We’ve been building a new system around how KCE manages competition, championships, drivers, schedules, new members, career statistics, and race winners.
And the biggest new addition is something completely new to KCE.
With our current season approaching its Championship Race, we’re making the new Competition Tier system visible now so everyone has an opportunity to explore it, see where they fall, watch how Live Ratings change, and understand how everything works using real KCE race data.
Nothing about the championship you’re currently racing for is changing. This season will finish under the championship structure we started with.
After the Championship Race, we’ll use what we’ve learned and the completed season data as we prepare the Competition Tiers for next season.
So take a look around, follow your numbers, ask questions, and get familiar with it.
Consider the rest of this season your preview of what’s coming next.
🏆 Introducing KCE Competition Tiers
KCE drivers will compete within one of four Competition Tiers:
Everyone still races together. Everyone still competes for race wins and the Overall Championship. That isn’t changing.
What Competition Tiers add is another championship battle within the same race.
A driver might be 15th in the Overall Championship but battling for 1st in Gold. Another might have an incredible fight developing for the Silver Championship.
Instead of only watching the battle at the very front, we can recognize great racing and championship battles throughout the field.
How are Competition Tiers determined?
The system looks beyond simply where you finished in the championship.
Driver performance is evaluated using several measurements, including:
Those measurements produce a Tier Rating, which helps establish a driver’s Competition Tier.
Once a season begins, your Competition Tier is locked for that season.
A great race isn’t suddenly going to bump you into another tier, and a couple of bad races aren’t going to drop you down.
Tier Ranking and Live Rating
You’ll see two ratings on the website, and there is an important difference.
Your Live Rating does not change your Competition Tier during the season.
🏆 More Championships to Race For
The KCE Overall Championship remains our top championship.
Beginning next season, Competition Tiers allow us to recognize additional accomplishments alongside it:
The goal isn’t to replace anything we’ve been doing. It’s to give more drivers something meaningful to race for.
🖥️ And That’s Only Part of What’s New
Competition Tiers are probably the biggest change drivers will notice, but they’re part of a much larger system we’ve been building.
🏁 New Season & Tier Standings
Our standings system can now track both the Overall Championship and the individual Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze championship battles.
This season, use those tier views as a preview. Beginning next season, they become part of the official KCE championship structure.
You’ll also be able to follow your championship position, Competition Tier, and Live Rating as a season develops.
📅 KCE Schedule Manager
Our race schedules are becoming part of the website itself.
The new Schedule Manager keeps upcoming races organized, identifies the Next Race, tracks completed events, and connects race information directly with the other KCE systems.
🏆 Winners Circle
Race winners now have their own place at KCE.
The new KCE Winners Circle connects race results with the schedule and creates a permanent showcase of our winners.
The latest winner gets the spotlight while previous winners remain part of our Winners Circle history, including integration with the way KCE shares winners on social media.
👤 Driver Careers
This is one of the areas I’m particularly excited about.
Rather than a driver’s history disappearing when one season ends and another begins, Driver Careers are designed to build a long-term record of what you’ve accomplished at KCE.
Career statistics, racing history, achievements, and other driver information can follow you throughout your time with the league.
It becomes your KCE racing career.
📝 New Driver Onboarding
We’ve also rebuilt how new drivers enter KCE.
The new KCE Onboarding system manages applications, acceptance, probation numbers, and communication with new members.
It gives us a more organized process behind the scenes while making joining KCE simpler and more consistent for new drivers.
🔗 Building One KCE System
This is really the biggest change behind everything.
Previously, schedules, standings, drivers, results, winners, and other information could essentially live in their own worlds.
We’re connecting those pieces.
There’s still more coming, but we’re finally getting to the point where the website can become a living record of KCE Racing, rather than simply a collection of pages.

I also want to give a special thank you to Chris Moulton.
Chris spent many hours developing the original concept behind the Competition Tier system and brought the idea to me because he believed it could create better competition throughout the KCE field.
A considerable amount of time has since been devoted to developing that concept further and building it into the website, along with all of the supporting systems necessary to make it part of how KCE manages our seasons, standings, drivers, and championships.
Turning that original concept into the system we’re introducing today has taken a tremendous amount of work behind the scenes. At times it has been frustrating, at times incredibly rewarding, and ultimately it all started with an awesome idea that was Chris’s vision.
Chris is the reason this idea exists at KCE, and he absolutely deserves recognition for bringing it to us and putting in the time to help get it started.
Thank you, Chris, for the time, effort, and thought you put into this—and most of all, for bringing an awesome idea to KCE.

You don’t need to configure anything or maintain anything.
We’ll handle the rest.
For the remainder of this season, explore the new pages, watch the ratings move, ask questions, and get familiar with the system. After the Championship Race, we’ll prepare the official Competition Tier structure for next season.
Some of these systems will continue to grow as we use them, and there is still more planned.
Better competition. More recognition. Better history. More reasons for everyone in the field to have something worth racing for.
